It's Patriot Football Time in Tennessee!!!

Well I am so proud of Rusty and all the coach's at East for giving us some great football to go watch on Friday night. It's like I am addicted - I have to go. I remember being sick not feeling good last year and it raining and me and Christy deciding we just had to go to Davy Crockett. The boys love it and love all the players at East because they went with Rusty all summer and really got to know them. The first game they were nervous because they got to run out behind the team for the first time. Now they can't wait until next Friday. GO PATRIOTS!

What to do on Race Weekend?

Well for the past four years this has been the question because Rusty is at the race track from sun up to sun down working for East. We decided to take my Mom and Grandma Izzy to Bays Mountain on Friday. We had a good time but Nick wasn't in the best of moods. Rusty's Grandparents and Cousin drove all the way from Iowa to use my race tickets cause we never get to go because Rusty has to work. They loved it and they came over for dinner on Sunday night before heading home. Jackson and Nick had fun playing hot hands with cousin Brad!

Nick goes to Kindergarten

Well Nick went today for his first official half day at Holston. No I did not cry....although Nick did tell me not to walk with him or hold his hand because he was a big boy...so that makes me want to cry! He got Mrs. Morarti and she was the grade above me in high school and volunteered to help her dad coach one of the t-ball teams at Central Heights this past summer. She knows Nick from there and pre-k. She calls him the all-star because they went undefeated this summer and won the championship by the slaughter rule. I hate to say it because of Rusty, but I believe Nick's sport is baseball. She also likes East Football because her dad played for them when they were not so good and of course Nick lets everyone know his daddy is a coach for East. Nick was very upset when he heard he couldn't go back the rest of the week and that he was staying until only 12. Jackson has Mrs. Millsap and she seems to be great! I am just excited my kids love school and actually want to go and get upset when they can't because I am sure a few years down the road this will all change!
